Program Bakti

Woke up at 530am todaym have breakfast with KianTat, then meet up JeeJian n Irene, to travel to Kampung Baru Ampang for program bakti.. i am the co-coordinator today, but my coordinator wasnt around, so i have to take it up.. this week is sicence n maths theme, and wil be playing explore race! oh please, this is fun!!and something fun,u will definitely can count on me... *evil laugh* hehe..

in the beginning of the year, i joined this activity,because i find passion in teaching, especially when i can pass my knowledge n fun learning down to kids...

reached at 8am.. start to distribute jobs to teachers, while the kids are having fun in the hall. we start to hide the clues..

then, went bec to classroom. teacher Arthur was giving them spelling, so we have a few more minutes break before the game starts. when TA gave the floor to me, i explain to them how to play, then we started the game..

they are suppose to bring bec 6 flags, n answer all questions given.. actually not so tough la.. but english makes it tough.. anyhow, my teachers are good enough in giving them clues.. so they pass thru one by one very fast..

some games are
-float paper clips on water
-balance 10 nails on a single nail
-measure basketball court..

and some other math n science questions

after the break, we gave them 2 experiments..
- toothpicks star
- secret message

all in all the kids have fun.. we too! haha..

many times, teaching these kids, i learnt a lot.. for kids, only if they have intrest in what they are studying, then they will study.. they wil work hard for the future.. i duno how else i can help them.. but i truly wish one day, when i met them 10 years later, they can proudly tell me that they have graduated from uni, and is someone that is contributing to the society..

hope there are more teachers to come n help, and teach these kids.. i knw it is hard.. but it will all work out if we are willing to put our hearts in..

truly, teaching is the best profession in this world, bcoz u pass down what u have learnt, to the next generation.. n hopefully forever.. =)

may the kids grow n become a better person.
