Time with love ones...

Today, I see a smile.. which truely touches my heart.. I have long missed this smile..

It is a smile from my youngest sister.. Jie..

I make it an effort to ask her out for dinner every sunday.. as much as I could.. despite her crazy "working" hours.. today i travelled bec from Muar once again, and picked her up for dinner.. Headed for her choice, Bibik Nyonya..

Once she entered the car, I could feel her happiness and joy for finishing her project. When we reach the restaurant, she told me stories about her project, class, friends.. From those, I noticed a smile on her face, despite her tiredness and sleepless night last night.

It is a smile of success, a smile of joy.. a smile of happiness.. a smile that I have long missed.. For it has been long since the last time I see her smile like this.. Or it has been long since the last time I spend some precious time, just specially for her.. or it has been long I did not have the chance to sit with her so close..

I then notice that I have neglected a lot of people around me, who deserve my attention.. I forgot that everyone has a smile to share.. I forgot to spend some quality time with people I love..

I was lucky enough that parents were at home this weekend.. Mum was still sick.. dad just recoverd.. I wasnt feeling alright in the beginning, but to go home, it just heals watever pain that I have.. Home has always been a comfort zone for me.. a place to hide, and recharge bfor another mountain climbing experience.. But I forgot to appreciate my parents' smile.. my grandma's smile..

I tend to ignore people around me.. and focus on people far far away.. thinking of them, wishing them well.. but I forgot that I am right here.. I guess I gotta change my mindset.. appreciate the present and around, let go the far and beyond..

I hope my hug and kisses before I left is sufficient to warm their heart.. I promise next time I will look into their eyes, and see their precious smile..
