Thanks to the moon… Forget about the Sun

Once upon a time, I ask an old man..
Between Sun and moon, which one do you think is more important?
The old man replied “moon.. coz it shines at night, lit up the dark..when we need the light the most, the moon is there.. during day time, it is already bright and hot enough, we dun need the sun”

So do you think that the answer is a bit ridiculous?

Well, think about it.. aren’t all of us are the same like the old man?
People who takes care of us everyday, you never thought of thanking the person, never thought that they have done anything big..
But when someone, a stranger treat u well just for once, u are so thankful about it..
Your parents, family members, spouse… whatever they have done, it is something like a “must”, never thought that it is something big..
But when outsiders did something good to you, you felt that it is extraordinary, and so happy about it…you will be so thankful, so surprise..

Doesn’t this resembles “thanks to the moon, and forget abt the sun”?

A girl.. fight with her mum, ran away from the house, decided that she will never comes bec to this horrible home again…
For the whole day she was outside, hunger, tired.. no money.. but she still doesn’t want to go home, because it is so shameful to do so..
Until night falls, she passed by a hawker stall selling noodles..

The lady of the stall saw her, and ask “girl.. would u like a bowl of noodle?”
She replied “yes! I would love to.. but I don’t have money..”
The lady “it’s ok then, I wil give you a treat..u look so tired”
The girl, delighted! Thankfully smiled, sat down on the table.

When the noodle arrives, she happily swallow it..
The girl “thank you very much for your kindness, I really appreciate it.. you are so nice!”
Lady “oh, why?”
The girl “we don’t even know each other, but you treat me so well, not like my mum… never seem to understand my thoughts, really hate it!”
lady “oh? Little girl, I have only gave you a bowl of noodle, and you are already so happy and so grateful about it.. then you mum has been cooking for you for the pass 20 years… shouldn’t you felt more grateful and more thankful to her than me?”

The girl suddenly realized, stood up and rush home..

Reaching home, she saw her mum already waiting for her outside the door.. seeing her coming back, she was so glad..
Before the girl could say anything..
Mum “oh, where have you been.. come on wash up and have your dinner.. “
It is now that she realize her mum’s love for her..

The sun is always there… we forgot that it is the one giving us light.. our love ones are always there.. we forgot that it is them that have always been loving and caring for us..
A person who has always been sheltered and cared for, will never remember to be thankful..
Because the day is bright enough.. the sun is just something extra in the day….
